Jose Bautista hit his major league-leading 16th homer, Ricky Romero threw a six-hitter and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-1 on Sunday to complete a three-game sweep. Alex Gonzalez and Lyle Overbay also had solo drives for the Blue Jays, who have a club-record 53 homers in May and a majors-best 86 overall.

TORONTO – Logic says the Toronto Blue Jays simply can't keep on hitting home runs at their current pace. At some point, history would seem to suggest, they're going to slow down.

The Baltimore Orioles have recalled right-hander Chris Tillman from Triple-A Norfolk to start Saturday against the Blue Jays. Tillman was 5-4 with a 3.12 ERA in 10 starts at Norfolk, including an April 28 no-hitter against Gwinnett. Baltimore optioned right-hander Cla Meredith to Triple-A after Friday's 5-0 loss to clear a spot for Tillman.

Orioles manager Dave Trembley was as blunt as could be when discussing Baltimore's defense in the first inning. Aaron Hill and Vernon Wells hit solo home runs, Shaun Marcum allowed six hits in six innings to win his fourth straight start and the Toronto Blue Jays took advantage of a trio of poor plays in the first that Trembley called "terrible" to beat the Orioles 5-0 Friday night.

The Oakland Athletics needed a bit of luck to put Kevin Kouzmanoff in position to finish off an eighth-inning uprising. Kouzmanoff made sure all that good fortune didn't go to waste. Kouzmanoff doubled in three runs to cap a five-run eighth, and the Athletics defeated the Baltimore Orioles 7-5 Thursday night for their second road series win.
