Maybe that was what Masahiro Tanaka was worried about. Tanaka, the New York Yankees $155 million pitching prize, was traveling from Japan to New York for Tuesdays introductory news conference. He elected to make the Tokyo-to-New York trip by chartering a Japan Airlines 787. According to a New York Times report, the pitchers personal manager said Tanaka needed to get to New York in a manner befitting a major league player.
